Volunteers required to join a team to drill a well 13th – 28th June 2015

A great team effort.

College volunteers and the drill team pose after the new well is finished.

Mission 4 Water are partnering with Mission Direct to give volunteers the opportunity to come to Rukungiri in south west Uganda to drill a well for a local community which is currently forced to collect dirty and contaminated water for drinking, cooking and washing.
No previous experience is necessary as full training will be given on site by Mission 4 Water Engineer Sunday.

The varied programme will also give volunteers the opportunity to get involved with other projects around Rukungiri, making a real difference to the lives of the children, the poor, and the disabled of Uganda.

The trip will finish with a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park where volunteers will be able to fully appreciate the wildlife in beautiful Uganda. The weather in June is perfect, around 28 degrees of pleasant sunshine.

An Orientation Day will held in England on Saturday 16th May when volunteers will get chance to meet up and find out all they need to know.

The cost of the trip is £ 1,650 which covers return flights, visa, all in country travel, accommodation and meals. In addition the team of volunteers will be required to raise funds to cover the cost of drilling, a minimum of £2,000.
